POSITION DESCRIPTION Sayari is looking for a Classified Software Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team and own the development of new features across our stack for government clients in a classified environment. Our ideal candidate is a process-oriented self-starter with extensive experience in the software engineering world and interested in working on problems related to corporate transparency, anti money laundering, sanctions evasions, and combating financial fraud. Our application tier is built primarily in Typescript, running in Kubernetes, and backed by Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and Memgraph. Our data ingest tier runs on Spark, processing terabytes of data collected from hundreds of data sources. The platform allows users to explore a large knowledge graph sourced from hundreds of millions of structured and unstructured records from over 200 countries and 30 languages. As part of this team, you'll have the chance to contribute to our growing library of open source work, including our WebGL-powered network visualization library Trellis: sayari-analytics.github.io/trellis. This is an onsite position in McLean, VA and requires a TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance. Job Responsibilities
Build, test, and deploy features across our tech stack
Partner with the customer to transform feature requests into actual implementations
Participate in code reviews with fellow developers
Working with government customers in highly controlled environments REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
4+ years experience in programming web-based applications and API servers
Proficiency in Typescript and React
Proficiency consuming RESTful APIs
Excellent communications skills and experience working cross functionally with product and design teams
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Self starter, able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and excited to learn new skills
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience leading development on large-scale projects, while working alongside other frontend and backend engineers. Experience with the following technologies/frameworks:
Visualization frameworks such as WebGL
State management frameworks like redux or react-query
Monorepo build tools such as Turborepo
Kubernetes and DockerGCP and/or AWS
Experience with databases such as Cassandra, Memgraph, Elasticsearch or Postgres
Experience developing RESTful APIs $215,000 - $235,000 a year The target base salary for this position is $215,000 - $235,000 USD plus bonus and equity. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
