Long Term Futures are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 / Year 1 Teachers for a reputable 'Good' Ofsted-rated Infant School situated in Thornton Heath, Croydon (CR7).
Commencing in September, these roles are open to candidates considering either a Maternity Cover contract or a Long-term placement with the view for permanent appointment, depending on mutual agreement. Your responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective and creative lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum for your Year 1 class.
- Assess pupil learning and progress accurately, using this insight to differentiate instruction for diverse learners (EAL, SEND needs).
- Implement positive strategies to manage behaviour effectively, ensuring a calm and productive classroom environment.
- Build and maintain professional communication and relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the positive atmosphere and wider activities of the school.
About you:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree.
- Requires successful prior teaching experience within KS1, preferably in Year 1.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Possess proven skills in classroom practice and pupil behaviour management.
- Dedicated to upholding rigorous safeguarding standards and promoting the welfare of all children.
