Your Responsibilities: - Provide over-the-road training for new CDL-A drivers with less than six months of experience.
- Share a truck with the trainee throughout the training period.
- Offer refresher training for experienced drivers and remedial training for those on development plans.
Instruction Includes: - HOS compliance and regulations
- Load securement and trip planning
- In-cab computer and company-specific apps
- Defensive driving and safe backing
- Customer procedures and professional service skills
- DOT inspection and post-accident procedures
- Safe fueling and inclement weather operations
- Coupling/uncoupling trailers
- Document scanning and company policies
Supervisory Duties: - Provide complete, accurate, and timely documentation of student performance.
- Conduct weekly evaluations and report progress to the Training Department.
- Establish truck rules and expectations.
- Perform corrective coaching when needed.
What You Need: - 5 years of verifiable, accident-free Class A CMV experience in interstate commerce.
- Previous in-cab training experience preferred.
- Completion of a two-day ICI certification class.
- Commitment to continuous training via online and in-person events.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and Teams.
- Professionalism and motivation to inspire students.
