We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 and 2 Tanker and Bulk Tipper Drivers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting bulk materials, liquids, and other goods safely and efficiently using a tanker and bulk tipper. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliveries are made on time, with safety and compliance at the forefront of all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport Bulk Goods: Operate HGV Class 1 and 2 vehicles (tanker and bulk tipper) to transport a variety of materials such as liquids, aggregates, or other bulk goods, to designated destinations.
- Loading/Unloading: Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials at both pickup and delivery locations. Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper securing of the load.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow optimal routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to traffic regulations. Report any issues with routes or delivery schedules to management.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all deliveries are made in compliance with health and safety regulations, road laws, and company policies. Complete daily vehicle checks.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during drop-offs or pickups, representing the company in a professional manner.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including delivery notes, vehicle inspection logs, and fuel records.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or concerns about the truck to the fleet management team to ensure it remains in safe and legal operating condition.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 License (C+E)
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- More than 1 year experience in Tanker and Bulk Tipper Driving is required.
- Good understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while ensuring safety and legal compliance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks such as loading/unloading goods when necessary.
- Flexibility in working hours, including potential for early starts or late finishes.
- Ability to use in-cab technology such as route planners, telematics, and electronic tachographs.
