We are looking for a Claims Support Team Lead who not only has P&C Insurance experience but also the ability to guide a team of Claims Support Representatives. What you will be doing:
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for policyholder issues that cannot be resolved at the Claims Support Representative
  • Monitor the processing of all incoming mail and e-mail to ensure proper scanning and/or indexing to the appropriate claim files.
  • Resolve complex or high-priority issues promptly, balancing policyholder satisfaction and company policy.
  • Assist in the tracking of team performance metrics, such as response time, resolution rate.
  • Schedule and maintain break and lunch schedules for the Claims Support
  • Act as subject matter expert for Claims Support
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring they understand company policies, systems, and customer service best practices.
  • Help identify process improvement opportunities within the department call flows.
  • Process claims reassignments.
  • Provide customer service support to claims department
  • Generate and distribute approved data reports
  • Respond in a timely manner to all customer inquiries.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
What you already have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:
  • Bachelor's degree or High school diploma and equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer support role required.
  • 1+ years' experience in Property & Casualty Insurance.

  • Capability to guide and inspire a team of customer service representatives
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to think critically and objectively.
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
