Job Title: Claims Customer Service Advocate

Location: Columbia, SC 29229

Duration: Contract to hire

Pay: $15 to $16 an hour on W2

Job Description:

Job Summary:
This role involves responding to customer inquiries, processing claims and appeals, and ensuring accurate adjudication according to policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer inquiries via phone, email, or web.
  • Research and resolve claim-related issues, including adjustments and reprocessing.
  • Process claims and appeals following company guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues or potential fraud cases as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with quality and production standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree can substitute for experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, including 1 year in claims or appeals processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
