We are seeking a qualified Civil Structural Engineer to manage the design, analysis, and execution of structural components in our marine and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing large-scale civil works, with a strong command over planning, execution, quality control, and contractor coordination. Candidates with international project exposure will be given preference.


Role Description


This is a full-time role for a Civil Structural Engineer at Tridel Technologies Private Limited in Vadodara. The location of the project will be West Asia and East Africa.


Responsibilities


  • Perform structural analysis, design, and validation of foundations, piles, retaining walls, piers, decks, and other concrete/steel structures for marine and land-based facilities.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and construction teams to ensure structural integrity and design feasibility.
  • Supervise site structural works and ensure quality, safety, and compliance with design standards.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors for design coordination and approvals.
  • Conduct structural inspections and provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare and review calculations, method statements, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure that all structural elements conform to relevant international standards such as ACI, BS, Eurocodes, or IS codes.
  • Participate in value engineering and risk assessments for structural works.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all civil structural work related activities for assigned projects.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for the timely and quality execution of works.
  • Ensure that the systems comply with international standards and project-specific specifications.
  • Monitor site execution, inspect installations, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for design approvals, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide technical inputs during the tendering and project estimation phases.
  • Enforce safety and quality control standards at project sites.
  • Evaluate and analyze bids, proposals, and quotations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor material consumption, workmanship, and progress against schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and HSE guidelines across all phases of civil work.
  • Assist in cost estimation, billing verification, and project documentation.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, change orders, and other project-related expenses for payment.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to optimize project profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide financial analysis and cost advice to support decision-making throughout the projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements related to cost management and procurement activities.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design and site execution for large civil infrastructure or marine projects.
  • International project experience is preferred, especially in Asia or Africa.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000).
  • Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with marine and offshore construction practices is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
