Finding people who've actually bid and built public work is rare. We know we'll likely have to pay above market to get the right person, and we're fine with that.
We're not hung up on arbitrary years of experience. (That said, if you're fresh out of school and expecting $200K, probably not the one.) What matters: you've worked on SCA, MTA, DASNY, DDC, ideally projects up to $80M. You know how to bid, build, and deal with the realities of public sector work.
We've been a quiet staple in NYC construction for 80+ years. No big online footprint, that's why we're using Heron Wolf. But internally? Solid. No revolving door. No drama. People stay.
You'd be joining a 35-person management team. Two of our senior estimators are retiring, and we're ready to hand over serious responsibility. Want to shape what we chase and be in the room with the President? Great. Prefer to just bid well and head home? Also fine, we'll carve out the right fit.
