They are growing our presence in New Mexico and are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Civil Engineering Office Lead to lead and grow our Albuquerque office.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a new regional office, lead complex land development and public infrastructure projects, and build a team aligned with the firm's standards of quality and collaboration. You'll act as both a technical leader and a business driver-balancing hands-on project delivery with client relationships, mentorship, and strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Albuquerque civil engineering team, including project management, business development, team mentorship, and operations
Manage and deliver a portfolio of civil engineering projects across site development, utilities, drainage, roadway, and public infrastructure
Foster relationships with new and existing clients, including public agencies, developers, architects, and other stakeholders
Collaborate with leadership across offices to integrate local efforts into the firm's broader strategy
Hire, mentor, and retain top talent while cultivating a positive, high-performance culture
Oversee proposal preparation, contract negotiation, project scheduling, and budget management
Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. preferred)
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in New Mexico
10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
Proven experience with land development and/or public infrastructure projects in New Mexico or the Southwest
Strong business development skills and the ability to grow a client base and office presence
Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership abilities
