They are growing our presence in New Mexico and are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Civil Engineering Office Lead to lead and grow our Albuquerque office.

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a new regional office, lead complex land development and public infrastructure projects, and build a team aligned with the firm's standards of quality and collaboration. You'll act as both a technical leader and a business driver-balancing hands-on project delivery with client relationships, mentorship, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Albuquerque civil engineering team, including project management, business development, team mentorship, and operations

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of civil engineering projects across site development, utilities, drainage, roadway, and public infrastructure

  • Foster relationships with new and existing clients, including public agencies, developers, architects, and other stakeholders

  • Collaborate with leadership across offices to integrate local efforts into the firm's broader strategy

  • Hire, mentor, and retain top talent while cultivating a positive, high-performance culture

  • Oversee proposal preparation, contract negotiation, project scheduling, and budget management

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. preferred)

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in New Mexico

  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role

  • Proven experience with land development and/or public infrastructure projects in New Mexico or the Southwest

  • Strong business development skills and the ability to grow a client base and office presence

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership abilities
