A boutique Trust & Probate law firm in Solana Beach is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a long-term addition to play a key role in our continued growth. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of recent civil litigation experience, with a strong focus on pre-trial work.


Our Trust & Probate Litigation department consists of four associate attorneys, two paralegals, and one to two legal assistants. We offer a collegial, enjoyable work environment where you will be involved in a variety of interesting cases.


This is a 100% in-person role, based at our Solana Beach office and the canidate must be a qualified Paralegal in accordance with California BPC 6450.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • A minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience in civil litigation, with pre-trial experience being a required skill.

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe. Mac experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate well within a team.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
  • Must exhibit discretion in handling confidential information and communicate with courtesy and tact.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and English composition skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic, articulate, quick to learn, friendly, dependable, punctual, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current notary public commission is a plus.

Responsibilities / Job Duties:

  • Manage case files and provide crucial support to Trust and Probate litigation attorneys.
  • Draft, format, edit, and proofread legal documents with high attention to detail.
  • Prepare legal correspondence as needed.
  • Communicate with clients and assist in managing their expectations.
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files according to Firm standards.
  • Calendaring of key litigation deadlines, hearings, and appointments to ensure timely preparation and filings.
