Overview
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer for a 12-month contract to contribute to substation and construction projects. The engineer will be responsible for leading engineering projects, designing and developing systems and structures, preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Design, develop, and test systems and structures.
• Conduct research and analysis to solve complex engineering problems.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluate and select materials and equipment for projects.
• Participate in project planning and management activities.
• Perform calculations and simulations to support engineering designs.
• Collaborate with other engineers, professionals, and stakeholders on project teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5-10 years of experience in engineering
• Experience in electrical utility projects
• STAAD experience
• In-depth knowledge of steel/concrete/storm water management.
