Hiring Civil Engineer - Marlborough, MA On-site Direct Placement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan & Design: Develop comprehensive construction plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Site & Roadway Layouts: Prepare grading plans, roadway alignments, and perform stormwater runoff calculations.
  • Utility Systems: Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems to meet regulatory and project requirements.
  • Compliance & Narratives: Craft detailed design narratives and ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Master Planning & Studies: Prepare Master Development Plans and conduct engineering feasibility studies.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination: Integrate civil design tasks with architectural and engineering disciplines throughout all project phases.
  • Drawing & Shop Review: Review construction and shop drawings to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partner with diverse teams-internal and external-to resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • 3-6 years of progressive civil engineering design experience.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

  • Civil 3D and HydroCAD expertise; experience with GIS is advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective collaborator in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Willingness for occasional short-term international travel assignments.
