We are seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer, PE with a minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, project management, and construction of civil engineering systems. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging federal government projects, stamp engineering drawings, and develop detailed project specifications. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Duties/Responsibilities:
Design and manage civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage, grading, roadways, utilities, and infrastructure.
Stamp and seal engineering drawings, calculations, and documents in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop detailed project specifications, scope of work, and cost estimates.
Review and approve designs, calculations, and plans for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulations.
Conduct site visits and inspections during construction to ensure that work is proceeding according to plans, codes, and schedules.
Mentor and support construction personnel, providing guidance and technical advice.
Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure efficient project execution.
Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulations to continuously improve work processes. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
This position requires US citizenship in order to access US military bases.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and project management.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proven experience in designing and drafting civil engineering plans, including site layout, utilities, stormwater management, and road design.
The ability to stamp and seal drawings and documents as required by state law.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and similar programs.
In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local, state, and federal guidelines).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Experience and Skills:
DoD and Other Federal Agency Experience.
Previous experience in project management, including budget and schedule oversight
Familiarity with federal regulations and permitting processes.
Knowledge of LEED or other sustainability certifications
