ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pursue project leads with various specifying clients with the aim to confirm a specification for customer's project or projects.
Present and include features and benefits of companies products to secure proprietary specifications.
Manipulate the confirmed specification data from projects into the Sales management System (SMS) through communication with the Business Development Department.
Use Dodge and/or industry related lead sources to identify and provide project information.
Communicate the info to the Area Sales Managers.
Record all client activity in the SMS.
Fully utilize the support offered by Technical Services Department to assist architects and engineers with properly specifying company products on projects.
Attend all relevant shows and exhibitions as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.
A portion of all specification efforts should be designed to influence specifiers who do not have current existing projects (missionary work).
Provide Sales Manager with a monthly specification report confirming specification details on at least 10 projects.
Provide Sales Manager with a weekly activity report detailing face to face calls with the above listed disciplines.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Civil Engineering
Minimum two plus years experience in Civil Engineering field
