Job Title: Cisco Network Engineer (Remote) - IRS preferred w/ some travel

Location- Remote w/ Light Travel

Clearance- Public Trust

This program requires US Citizenship

Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure to support IRS operations.
  • Implement network security protocols , including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards .
  • Provide technical support and documentation for network systems.
  • Conduct network upgrades and ensure high availability of IRS systems.
  • Work with cloud-based networking solutions and remote access technologies.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • CCIE or CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert / Cisco Certified Network Associate).
  • Expertise in routing, switching, and network security .
  • Familiarity with government IT policies and compliance standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with teams across different locations.
Position Details:
  • Pay Rate / Range: $43.50-$53.00/hr
The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
