Student Sales and Marketing Strategist for MVP Launch

This position is a paid work study opportunity under the supervision of an innovator participating in the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE). The goal is to conduct market research, design, and execute a sales and marketing strategy to support the launch of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) software solution aimed at revolutionizing the recruitment process. The intern will focus on identifying potential customers, analyzing market trends, and implementing outreach strategies to generate interest in the product.

This position provides Harrisburg University students with valuable, real-world experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for future roles in business development or management.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer segments, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to promote the MVP software solution.
  • Create marketing materials such as presentations, brochures, and digital content to effectively communicate the value proposition.
  • Utilize social media platforms and other digital tools to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Develop a lead generation plan and track potential customer outreach.
  • Work closely with the CIE innovator to refine messaging and align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Analyze feedback and data from early outreach efforts to improve the sales and marketing strategy.
  • Assist in planning and executing events or campaigns to showcase the product to potential customers and investors.
  • Maintain regular communication with the supervisor to report progress and share findings.
  • Display a professional and positive attitude in all interactions.
Academic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in Harrisburg University's Bachelor of Science in Management, Entrepreneurship, or Business Administration program.
  • Academic GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts, sales strategies, and business development principles.
  • Experience with social media platforms and marketing tools (e.g., Canva, HubSpot, Google Analytics) is a plus.
  • Academic or project-based experience in market research, marketing campaigns, or sales strategy development.
