CICS System Programmer

Role: CICS System Programmer, experience 10+ years minimum
Location: Remote EST
Duration: 12+ months Contract

Responsibilities:

1. Installing, maintaining, and supporting CICS Transaction Server on z/OS mainframe
2. Strong problem determination and resolution skills.
3. In-depth technical knowledge of mainframe vendor tools and utilities.
4. Disaster recovery and oncall rotation
4. Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to the client.

Required skills:

1. 10+ years of CICS system programming experience.
2. Experience working in financial services or banking environment.
3. Must have: CICS, MQ, Cobol, VSAM, Assembler
4. Nice to have: CICSPlex/CPSM, CTG, Zeke (or equivalent job scheduler), Changeman (or equivalent Incident Management), DB2, IMS, Unix System Services
5. Strong problem solving capabilities and communication skills (verbal and written)
