We are seeking a talented CI DevOps Engineer to join the HID org. As a CI DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our software development processes and delivery pipelines. Description You will join a team of six Tool and CI/DevOps engineers. Our team supports two main user groups:
HID SW/FW/Algs Developers: These talented engineers are at the forefront of designing and developing code for next-gen sensors used in almost every Apple product. Some things they've shipped in the past include TouchID, Multitouch, and HeartRate monitoring.
QE Engineers: Our QE engineers are a highly innovative group. They write extensive Python tests, build advanced robots to interact with devices, run large-scale data playback tests, and constantly push the boundaries of testing with their creative new approaches.

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Serve as the DRI for creating and supporting robust development pipelines.
- Leverage your Python expertise to develop custom tools that enhance our CI/CD processes and automate tasks.
- Engage in effective customer communication to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide timely updates.
- Ensure security compliance within our CI/CD pipelines, implementing best practices to protect our software and data.
- Collaborate and coordinate closely with other tools teams to integrate systems and streamline workflows.
Minimum Qualifications - 2+ years experience in software development or related areas
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications - Strong practical knowledge of Python and Bash
- Strong understanding of source control systems (git)
- Experience with an orchestration platform (ex. Jenkins)
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with VMs
- Experience with an automation platform (Terraform, Ansible)
- Database experience (PostgreSQL)
- Xcode, cmake
- Tableau
- Kube, Docker
- Groovy
Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
