  • Good driving record.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Promptness.
  • Cleanliness.
  • Must be able to lift and pull heavy inventory.
  • Performs related duties as required.

REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Director, Assistant Director

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB OVERVIEW: To deliver food and supplies to schools on a set time schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Inspect trucks as needed. Check oil, wiper blades, tires, and lights.
  • Fill school supply orders and pack food carriers for delivery. Load truck and secure carriers to prevent spillage, and damage to carriers.
  • Make sure food deliveries to each elementary school is in good condition and on required time schedule.
  • When needed assist with filling secondary schools grocery orders. Assist with unloading and stocking deliveries from vendors.
  • Attend in-service training as directed by Child Nutrition Department.
  • Any other duties as requested by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 175 days

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving objects. Must be able to lift dolly and pull heavy inventory (weight varies from 5 to 500 pounds of canned or frozen items and full carriers.)

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Must wear long slacks (jeans) and enclosed-toe shoes.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.

SALARY RANGE: Is based on the EPS Support Negotiated Contract Scale.

BENEFITS: In accordance with the EPS Support Negotiated Contract.
