POSITION: Child Nutrition General Worker-6 hours per day

JOB SUMMARY: To provide students and adults with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness cheerfulness, and personal caring. This is a Full Time Position, eligible for "State Share" of Benefits.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or GED
- Availability to work Summer Feeding as needed unless otherwise prearranged before the end of the school year (depending upon requirements). You will receive ADDITIONAL PAY for Summer hours worked
- Ability to complete annual professional standards and DDOE Unit Classes as required
- Willingness to complete required yearly professional standards and DDOE Unit Classes in order of precedence when available
- Have knowledge of or willingness to learn the meal pattern requirements as specified by the USDA Child Nutrition Program. (NSLP, SBP, CACFP, SFSP)
- Have the ability to maintain accurate HACCP requirements and records
- Serv-Safe qualifications are required, either have or willing to complete within 3 months of employment
- Employment history demonstrates a strong work ethic and dependability, longevity
- Job requires frequent bending, twisting, turning, and reaching: Exposure to heat and cold, continuous use of hands, and the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Cooking, preparing, and serving breakfast, lunch, and other food to children and adults professionally and courteously, customer service-oriented
- Ensures that the food supply is replenished regularly during meal service periods
- Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen, service, and storage areas, including back docks and delivery areas
- Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storeroom at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the Head Cook or Manager
- Maintains all standards according to the DE State Board of Health and Woodbridge School District HACCP Plan
- Ability and willingness to learn point of sale
- Works cooperatively with co-workers and promotes a positive atmosphere
- Willingness to provide feedback and new ideas to improve the program
- Performs all other tasks assigned by the Manager, Head Cook, or supervision chain
- Other duties as assigned
