The Child Care Assistant is responsible for the care and safety of members' children while members are exercising at the center. Listens and responds to parents regarding their children. Performs various duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • One year experience with young children, group care experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Reads and follows signed playroom policy procedures manual at initial hiring and then quarterly to improve quality control.
  • Greets parents warmly each day and uses the parent's name. Asks the parent if the child has any special needs that day.
  • Ensures parents follow procedures for signing in and out at each visit.
  • Communicates in a professional manner at all times, in person and on the phone.
  • Ensures children are not left alone at any time and remain in their appropriate age groups as often as possible.
  • Demonstrates pride in work by offering children creative activities while keeping work area clean, tidy and attractive at all times.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
Schedule:

Part-Time:

Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Pay Range:

Hourly/Non-Exempt

$9.00 - $13.00; based on work experience
