Child and Youth Counselor (MFLC) Location: Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota Eligibility: U.S. Citizens Only Employment Type: Onsite, full-time Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to serve as a Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Minot AFB, ND. This role is focused on supporting the mental and emotional well-being of military-connected children and youth within a youth center setting. You will work directly with children, families, program staff, and military leadership to deliver short-term, non-medical behavioral health services that help young people navigate the unique stressors of military life. What You'll Do Provide in-person, solution-focused counseling to children and adolescents of active-duty service members Deliver behavioral support services in youth centers, after-school programs, and activity-based settings Facilitate consultations with parents, youth staff, school personnel, and command staff Present training and workshops on topics such as stress management, transitions, grief, and emotional regulation Support youth programs, summer camps, and other on-demand events or initiatives Collaborate with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure services meet the needs of the installation Comply with all applicable DoD and program-specific documentation and reporting requirements Schedule & Site Details Onsite role based at a youth center located on Minot Air Force Base Schedule follows youth programming needs and may include afternoon, early evening, or school holiday hours Travel may be required for on-base events or regional support assignments Requirements Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology) Active, unrestricted license in the U.S. as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Not eligible: LMSW, LADC, supervised, or associate-level licenses Understanding of military family life and challenges unique to service member dependents Experience working independently and managing behavioral interventions for children and adolescents U.S. citizenship and fluency in English Must pass all federal and installation-specific background checks and suitability screenings Desired Qualifications Previous military service or direct experience with military-connected communities Familiarity with youth program environments, child development, and group dynamics Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Why Join Blue Rose?
