Chief WAN/LAN Network Architect Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: A WAN (Wide Area Network) Network Architect designs, implements, and manages the network infrastructure that connects multiple
locations, typically across large geographical distances. They focus on creating a robust and efficient WAN that enables organizations to
share resources, data, and applications between various offices, data centers, and cloud services. A LAN (Local Area Network) Architect
designs, implements, and manages connected environments spanning one or more buildings - typically in a 1-kilometer radius - that links
computing devices within proximity of each other by using ethernet and Wi-Fi technology. Responsibilities:
• Designing WANs

• Designing LANs

• Planning and designing the WAN/LAN infrastructure, including network topology, routing protocols, security protocols, and
hardware/software components.
• Implementing WAN/LAN

• Directing the deploying and configuring the WAN/LAN infrastructure, ensuring proper integration with existing networks and applications.
• Providing guidance and recommendations in maintaining proper WAN/LAN infrastructure to engineering staff

• Provide guidance and recommendations in monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring network
security.
• Ability to identifying and resolving network issues to ensure network stability and reliability.
• Ability to tracking network performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and improvement and follow best practices.

• Work with Cybersecurity in Implementing and managing security measures to protect the WAN/LAN from unauthorized access and cyber
threats.
• Provide and maintaining detailed documentation of the WAN/LAN architecture and configurations and communicating network changes and
updates to relevant stakeholders. Ability to audit engineer's documentations and provided guidance and corrections as required.

• Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in WAN/LAN technologies and security best practices. Qualifications: Required:
• 12 years of experience in Network Engineering and Network Enterprise Architecture
• Strong understanding of networking principles

• Routing, switching, IP addressing, network protocols, security, and virtualization.
• Experience with WAN technologies

• Experience with LAN technologies

• MPLS, VPNs, SD-WAN, IPsec, and other WAN technologies.
• Routers, switches, firewalls, network monitoring tools, and network virtualization platforms.
• Identifying and resolving network issues, analyzing network traffic, and optimizing network performance.
• Working with other IT professionals, vendors, and clients to design, implement, and manage the WAN/LAN.
• Required TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a CI polygraph

• Required Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related field

• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Security +, or equivalent certifications required. - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
