An innovative electric aviation company we're currently partnered with is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the technical development of their next-gen aircraft platforms. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the chief technical authority across all engineering disciplines - guiding aircraft architecture, systems integration, airworthiness, and certification strategy.
  • Program Execution: Oversee the end-to-end technical execution of aircraft programs from concept design through certification and production.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, manufacturing, flight testing, and executive leadership to ensure engineering initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory milestones.
  • Mentor and Build Teams: Develop and lead a high-performing team of engineers across systems, mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Drive Innovation: Champion cutting-edge technologies in electric propulsion, avionics, and advanced materials to push the limits of what's possible in air mobility.

Industry Experience/Education:

  • Deep Aerospace Expertise: 10-15+ years of experience in aircraft development, with strong knowledge of FAR Part 23/27/29 or equivalent certification frameworks.
  • eVTOL/UAM Experience Preferred: Experience with electric propulsion, urban air mobility, or hybrid-electric aircraft platforms is highly desirable.
  • Start-Up/Scale-Up Mindset: Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-growth environment, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and hands-on leadership.
  • Technical and Programmatic Acumen: Strong systems engineering background with a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary programs through design, test, and certification phases.
