Were looking for a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of our organization.
About the Role:
As our next Chief Program Officer, you will lead and scale many impactful programs across our agency. This is a mission-critical role, responsible for ensuring our services deliver measurable outcomes, meet regulatory standards, and evolve with community needs. Youll work cross-functionally with fellow executives to align operations with strategy and foster a culture of excellence, equity, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Leadership & People Management
Serve as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, fostering agency-wide collaboration.
Inspire and guide Directors and Program Managers to meet ambitious goals through results-based leadership.
Ensure ongoing staff development, training, and performance management that aligns with agency KPIs and values.
2. Strategic Planning & Program Innovation
Drive the execution of our Strategic Plan and evolve services based on data-informed insights.
Develop and align long-range and annual program strategies, budgets, and operational plans.
Analyze trends and performance metrics to identify areas for growth and innovation.
3. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Oversee program evaluation, compliance monitoring, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Partner with Quality & Compliance teams to ensure standards are met and confidentiality is maintained.
Use findings from audits and reviews to drive excellence across service delivery.
4. Community Partnerships & Grant Oversight
Represent the agency at sector events, strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Manage programmatic compliance with grant deliverables and reporting requirements.
Collaborate on proposal development and help translate funding into impactful programming.
5. Financial Stewardship & Resource Optimization
Work with the CFO to develop and manage program budgets.
Align resources to maximize sustainability, efficiency, and impact.
Help identify new funding opportunities to grow and sustain critical services.
What You Bring:
Proven experience in executive or senior leadership within human services or a related field.
Expertise in strategic planning, program development, and team leadership.
Strong understanding of quality assurance, compliance, and outcome-based programming.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Grant management experience and a collaborative, mission-driven mindset.
Qualifications: - MA, MS, or MSW in behavioral health.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in the field.
- 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience.
- Licensed or on track to licensure.
- Windows skills, both typing and navigating, e-mail usage.
