About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to lead its philanthropic efforts and drive a comprehensive strategy to meet a significant fundraising goal. The CPO will be responsible for realigning markets and systems to transform lives, overseeing the organization's philanthropy, and designing and implementing an ambitious fundraising strategy. This role requires a prolific fundraiser with a successful track record in principal giving, particularly with individuals and families. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, collaborative, and results-driven development leader with a deep passion for social impact. They will work to establish new funding streams, deepen existing partnerships, and coordinate enterprise-wide efforts to meet a $300M-$500M fundraising goal. The CPO will also be a member of the senior executive team, setting a vision for the organization and leading a team to ensure the success of the philanthropy program. Applicants for the Chief Philanthropy Officer position at the company should have 10-15 years of experience in fundraising, ideally within a strategic or interdisciplinary framework. The role demands an open leadership style, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standards environment. The successful candidate will be a composed executive, capable of authentic relationship-building and transparent collaboration. They will be expected to have a deep working knowledge of the organization's mission and activities, including key fundraising objectives, and to be deeply energized by the company's mission and theory of change. Executive leadership, a strong background in traditional and interdisciplinary fundraising approaches, and the ability to manage a team to meet fundraising goals are essential for this role.
