Position Summary:
AtlantiCare is seeking a distinguished and high-profile vascular surgeon to join our team as the Chief of Vascular Surgery and Vice Chair of the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line. This dual role is a unique opportunity to develop, lead and innovate within a dynamic healthcare environment committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the strategic direction and operational management of the Vascular Surgery Department.
- Collaborate with the Chair of the Cardiac & Vascular Institute to align departmental goals with institutional objectives.
- Serve as Vice Chair, providing leadership across the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Clinical Excellence:
- Lead by example in providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain an active clinical practice in vascular surgery.
- Education
- Initiate and develop a Premiere Vascular educational program on an aggressive GME schedule.
- Create a national presence with podium presentations at national and International meetings.
- Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in vascular surgery.
- Academic and Research Initiatives:
- Foster a culture of academic excellence by supporting research initiatives and educational programs.
- Drive academic productivity by attracting clinical trials and generating publications
- Engage in clinical research projects, contributing to advancements in vascular surgery.
- Innovation and Growth:
- Drive innovation within the department by integrating new technologies and procedures.
- Expand the service line's capabilities through strategic growth initiatives.
- Collaborate within the CVI and with other departments to enhance multidisciplinary care.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Vascular Surgery.
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic or high-volume clinical setting.
- Strong track record of clinical excellence, research contributions, and teaching experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
