Role Overview:
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Emble Events is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for driving the company's overall marketing strategy, planning, and execution. This "out-of-the-box" thinker will oversee key functions such as brand management, advertising, public relations, market research, and data analysis to inform marketing decisions and optimize performance.
The CMO will play a pivotal role in accelerating company growth, increasing brand awareness, and strengthening customer engagement across all channels. As a senior executive, the CMO will collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure marketing efforts align with business objectives and position Emble Events as a market leader in its space.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Identify, develop and evaluate overall marketing strategy, based on knowledge of established objectives and goals. Marketing plans will include each conference, encompassing online and offline channels to drive attendance and engagement.
- Digital Marketing Management: Manage online marketing efforts, including social media, content marketing, email marketing and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Digital B2B Media Platform: Manage all aspects including strategic planning, content development, platform design and development, audience growth and engagement, technology management, monetization and revenue strategy, partnerships and community building, analytics and optimization.
- Event Promotion: Coordinate promotional activities and partnerships to boost conference attendance, including collaborating with industry influencers and media outlets.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven improvements.
- Budget Management: Allocating and managing the marketing budget to optimize the return on investment.
- Customer Experience: Ensuring consistent and positive customer experience across all marketing touchpoints.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Building and leading a high-performing marketing team and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. Work closely with the sales and operations teams to align marketing efforts with revenue goals and event logistics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably as a VP or CMO. Experience in various marketing areas, including digital marketing, branding, product marketing, public relations, and marketing strategy.
- Experience with CRM (HubSpot preferred), marketing automation tools, and data analytics platforms
- Proven experience in scaling start-up organizations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills to oversee and guide the marketing team effectively. Ability to set a clear marketing vision and strategy for the organization.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data to make informed marketing decisions and measure campaign performance.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Solid understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing.
- Brand Management: The ability to build, maintain, and enhance the company's brand image, both online and offline.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, as the company's CMOs you will need to interact with stakeholders, clients, and the media.
- Budget Management: Financial acumen to manage marketing budgets efficiently and maximize the return on investment (ROI).
- Adaptability: Adaptable and open to change, embracing new technologies and marketing strategies.
- Analytics and KPIs: Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the success of marketing initiatives.
