Are you a disruptor, breaking the paradigms of how others solve problemsinnovative, courageous, and strategicThe Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for setting the technological vision and leading the company's innovation & technological development. The CIO will drive innovation, align technology initiatives with business goals, and ensure the company's technology infrastructure supports current operations and future growth. The mission is to architect the overall technology vision of the company and oversee the tactical execution of digital and technical projects & programs to support delivering the highest quality, sustainable technical consulting solutions to our clients. The successful candidate will further develop the organization's strategic technology investments, oversee any product development, maintenance, and delivery, as well as manage any necessary internal or external resources to continuously drive innovative ways to facilitate our Purpose and Vision.

Your role will be a subject matter expert and leader within the organization, with the responsibility for managing all aspects of highly complex, enterprise-wide, multi-discipline technical program(s) consisting of multiple projects, where some or all of them may be agile. Ensures successful integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, plans/agile processes, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business. Technical projects may include network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, or other projects similar in nature. This job requires extensive technical, project management, and agile project experience and management.

What You'll Do:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed in this position. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict the assignments that management may make.

• Focuses on developing technological products/services to meet/exceed internal/external customer needs and drive innovation. The CIO's role involves regular technological research to enhance the company's offerings.
• Assess existing tech stack and capabilities, develop and implement technology architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs, both internally to improve workplace productivity and automation, and the continued development and improvement of client-facing features.
• Manage technology programs and platform roadmap.
• Drive, quantify, and defend forward-thinking digital and technology product investments.
• With the assistance of 3rd party resources, identify and protect Intellectual Property that currently exists or is being developed by the company.
• Work with Executive Leadership and the Technology Infrastructure Leader to identify, select, and manage the appropriate external vendors to complement in-house and personal capacity/ability.
• Manage existing and emerging risks and vulnerabilities within the company's delivery and client-facing technology footprint.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement new technologies, services, and products effectively.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing innovation and technology teams.
• Document epics and stories in requirement repositories.
• Bring a hands-on and solution-minded approach to project execution and issue resolution.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Technology or closely related fields or equivalent experience.

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field; an MBA or additional business training is a plus.
• Significant experience in intellectual property identification and protection
• 10+ years' experience in people management with exceptional skills in recruiting and developing high-performing teams.
• Use directional leadership - the ability to influence, guide, and mentor a team of highly capable individuals to achieve both business goals, personal and professional development
• Expert-level knowledge in full-cycle product development (i.e., product engineering, deployment, and integration).
• Expert ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse, and strategic multi-disciplinary projects that impact the organization as a whole.
• Expert ability in implementing technical programs and project plans, and monitoring progress, resource usage, and quality.
• Expert-level understanding and ability to manage complex technical programs and project budgets.
• Expert-level knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified.
• Flexibility on working multiple time zones to meet business needs, supporting global teams.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting Professional services.

Working Environment:

This role involves both physical and mental demands and may be performed in various settings, including offices, construction sites, and confined spaces like elevator pits. This role requires regular sitting, talking, and hearing in meetings and by phone. Employees must navigate tight spaces, climb ladders, move around construction sites, take measurements, and travel by car, air, or rail. Duties may involve working at heights and in confined spaces, using hands for tasks like typing and operating elevator components, and applying up to 30 lbs. of force. Close visual attention is also required.

Mental Demands:

This position requires strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Employees must interpret complex information, apply mathematical and logical reasoning, quickly learn new skills, and manage detailed, multitask workloads under shifting deadlines. Regular interaction with executives, colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders is also expected.
