About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Chief Fundraising Officer (CFO) to spearhead and elevate our national fundraising initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies across diverse channels including major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation grants, events, and government funding. We seek a strategic visionary who has a strong history of achieving significant fundraising results in a national nonprofit context.
The successful candidate will be part of our executive leadership team, championing our mission and facilitating strategic growth. You will cultivate and enhance relationships with current supporters while also identifying new opportunities for engagement and support. We expect you to bring at least 15 years of nonprofit development experience, including a minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles, particularly focused on scaling national nonprofit efforts.
The ideal CFO will excel in managing and mentoring a development team, driving major gift revenue with the goal of doubling it within the next 3-5 years. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to broaden our grassroots support and ensure all fundraising endeavors align seamlessly with our organizational goals. A deep commitment to gun violence prevention and social justice movements is essential, along with a dedication to fostering REDI (Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion).
If you are results-driven, possess strong analytical skills, and excel in communication and collaboration, we invite you to apply and help us make a meaningful impact in our communities.
