We are seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team at a high-growth $3 billion venture capital fund. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the long-term financial health of the fund. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of venture capital, financial management, and strategic planning.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the fund's growth and investment objectives.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to optimize financial performance.

Investment Oversight:

  • Collaborate with investment teams to evaluate potential investments and monitor portfolio performance.
  • Conduct financial due diligence on investment opportunities and provide insights on risk and return.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Represent the finance function in executive meetings and board discussions.

Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in venture capital, private equity, or investment management.
  • Experience managing large-scale financial operations and complex investment portfolios.

Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
