We are seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team at a high-growth $3 billion venture capital fund. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the long-term financial health of the fund. This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of venture capital, financial management, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the fund's growth and investment objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
Financial Operations:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to optimize financial performance.
Investment Oversight:
- Collaborate with investment teams to evaluate potential investments and monitor portfolio performance.
- Conduct financial due diligence on investment opportunities and provide insights on risk and return.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Represent the finance function in executive meetings and board discussions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in venture capital, private equity, or investment management.
- Experience managing large-scale financial operations and complex investment portfolios.
