Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, advising on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Lead long-term financial planning and capital investment initiatives
- Oversee accounting operations, including job costing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage external audits, banking relationships, and tax preparation
- Direct the preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and lead corrective action planning
- Provide project-level financial oversight and profitability analysis
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
- Manage banking relationships, bonding capacity, and lines of credits
- Ensure optimal working capital and liquidity management
- Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets
- Oversee insurance, bonding, and legal compliance for all financial activities
- Support contract negotiation, risk evaluation, and claims management
- Lead and mentor finance and accounting staff
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management, and business development teams
