ABOUT THIS ROLE

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer. As a senior leader in the organization, the EVP, Chief Financial Officer will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and other key executives. As a CFO you will be a business partner throughout the operations assisting with system enhancements, analysis, external audits and financial projections. Prior experience being successful in rapidly growing environments will be key to be successful in this role.

Org Chart will include a team that owns the company's financial planning and analysis, pricing, operational KPIs, product profitability, customer P&L's, global entity scorecard, & sales finance. Job Duties

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives, focusing on high Cap Rate deals, efficient capital deployment, and sustainable growth.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors on all investment, development, and operational matters.
  • Collaborate closely with the asset management team to analyze property performance, identify opportunities for value creation, and optimize returns on existing assets.
  • Provide financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decisions related to property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls to support scalability and efficiency.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth investors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of preferred returns and investment performance.
  • Lead financial communications and presentations to investors, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Explore and recommend new financing structures and capital sources to support ongoing development and acquisition activities.
  • Manage the consolidation process for a growing number of entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial packages, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Lead the upcoming Yardi ERP implementation, serving as the executive sponsor and ensuring successful system integration and adoption across all relevant departments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage the external audit process, serving as the primary liaison with auditors and ensuring timely and accurate completion of annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings.
  • As a trusted partner to the CEO, development and refine this company's strategic goals while empowering your departments, co-leading board presentations, derive data driven decisions, and strive for operational excellence.
  • Work cross functionally to support departmental decision-making with forecasting, planning, reporting and analytics.
  • Continue to develop your finance team, allowing them to partner with operations and departmental leaders on strategic initiatives (Free Cash Flow initiatives, Operating Plan process, new metrics/KPIs)
  • Play a leadership role in our finance transformation effort, build upon our finance organization, develop and hire when you feel is necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience within a fast paced & high growth organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field required
  • CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years as a CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, or VP of Accounting in a real estate company.
  • Deep understanding of real estate investment, development, and financing structures, including joint ventures and high-net-worth investor relations.
  • Proven track record of successful ERP implementation or other system enhancements
  • Budgeting/Planning/Analytic Tool Environment experience such as Vena, PBCS (Hyperion), Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, OneStream, HFM, Alteryx, Tableau, or Anaplan all a plus
