Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We seek a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team to drive financial strategy, optimize resources, and ensure sustainable growth.
Position Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring fiscal health, and driving financial strategy. This role requires a seasoned professional with over 20 years of post-qualification experience, including significant leadership roles within the FMCG sector (preferably) or similar industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide strategic insights to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Financial Management:- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, auditing, treasury, and tax functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Optimize working capital and manage cash flow effectively.
Risk Management:- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability.
- Implement and oversee robust internal controls and compliance frameworks.
Team Leadership:- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive the professional growth of team members through effective coaching and development.
Collaboration:- Work closely with other departments (eg, sales, marketing, operations) to align financial objectives with business initiatives.
- Represent the company in discussions with investors, banks, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:- Oversee accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the board of directors.
Budgeting & Forecasting:- Manage the budgeting process, providing forecasts that reflect business strategies and market conditions. Monitor cash flow to maintain liquidity.
Investor Relations:- Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other key stakeholders. Lead fundraising efforts and negotiate financing terms.
Operational Support:- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that inform operational decisions. Support product expansion and sustainability initiatives.
Cost Control & Efficiency Improvements:- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies across the organization.
Qualifications:- Education: Professional certifications such as CPA, CA. A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 20+ years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. Prior experience in the Middle East/Europe is desired.
- Industry Experience: FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or related sectors preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
- Proven experience in strategic financial management, cost control, and business expansion.
