Kinsa is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer - Cannabis

Our client is a leading developer of cannabis operations and products to customers nationwide with a new opportunity for a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Boston. You will have full responsibility for providing leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The CFO will have 4 direct reports and will report to the President.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and lead financial strategy, goals, and objectives for fast-growing business lines in three subsidiaries
• Provide timely and accurate Financial Statements, Cash flow, budgets, financial trends, and forecasts
• Oversee all aspects of Finance & Accounting functions, including accounting, finance, AR, AP, invoicing, cost accounting, variance analysis, core management, risk management, and fixed overhead
• Provide leadership and continuous evaluation, recommending short and long-term strategic business and financial objectives
• Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models, and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans
• Manage short and long-term cash flow planning, oversee cash, investment, and treasury, and asset management

Education & Experience Needed :

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in the Food & Beverage industry
• Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA desired
• Certified Public Accountant required
• Strong background in supply chain operations with a deep understanding of logistics and distribution processes preferred
• Experience with startups a plus
• Understanding of cannabis industry specific tax regulations/codes a plus
• Experience presenting to investors and raising capital desired
