Main duties of the job

As our Chief Finance Officer, you will be as committed as we are to delivering sustainable, transformative care. You will have the experience we need to lead and direct our plan to bring long-lasting value and sustainability financial stability across our large and complex organisation, in line with our strategic priorities to deliver better health and care for all.

With experience of working at or close to board level and recognising our role as an anchor institution for the community, you will understand the importance of forging effective partnerships with our people, community groups and other parts of our health and care system. Your ability to develop and maintain partnerships will be critical to drive the change we need.

This is a full-time role, with some flexibility around base/location blended with travel and remote working.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
Experience & Knowledge
  • Experience in a senior finance management role (director level) within a complex environment including health and social care/ public sector
  • Demonstrable success at a senior level of managing operations in a large organisation and acute experience at a senior level
  • Proven experience of working and contributing at Board level
  • Experience of presenting complex financial information to public meetings
  • Track record of delivering complex, high impact projects in area of specialist expertise
  • Significant experience of strategic financial management within a large complex organisation
