The Chief Engineer for the Trumbull Marriott Shelton will oversee all hotel engineering operations within the organization, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of engineers while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The Chief Engineer will implement engineering best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Duties:
Lead and supervise the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
Manage the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems, including electrical and low voltage systems.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance schedules and manage resources effectively.
Work with the maintenance crew on everyday projects required at the hotel.
Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and standards to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Conduct regular inspections of engineering systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing engineering teams effectively.
Experience with supervising teams in a technical environment.
Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in engineering projects.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for troubleshooting purposes.
