Chief Accounting Officer
Overview:
- Reports to Chief Financial Officer
-Regular interface with Fund Controller
-Regular interface with Capital Markets, Property Management, Construction
- Full knowledge of real estate/property management accounting and finance
-Real Estate investment types: Retail, Industrial, Office, Multifamily
-Real estate development: Predevelopment through full construction
-Complete knowledge of pass through (CAM, Ins, RE Tax, direct bill, etc.) billing and related
billing under commercial estate leases
-In depth understanding of multifamily property management accounting
- Oversee property management accounting, development (job cost) accounting, which is accomplished through:
-Property Accounting Controller and staff: Four internal teams of AC, senior accounting
professionals, each with Accounts Payable and AR/Treasuring personnel and one Treasuring
Coordinator
- Oversees all treasury functions
- Interface with Capital Markets team - variance reporting, annual property budgets
- Continual evaluation of systems and processes of property management accounting function
-ERP Systems: Yardi/Elevate
-Other Systems: Blackline, Center, Spreadsheet Server, Kyriba, Bank Treasuring Systems,
Investorbridge/Backstop, Additional systems to be determined
