Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemical Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining chemical processing equipment to manufacture flavors and other specialty ingredients. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the consistency, quality, and safety of our products.


Key Responsibilities:


• Operate batch and continuous processing equipment, such as reactors, blenders, mixers, and filtration systems


• Follow detailed batch instructions, production records, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)


• Accurately weigh and measure raw materials and additives


• Monitor equipment parameters and adjust as needed to maintain optimal processing conditions


• Ensure proper documentation of batch records, process deviations, and inventory transactions


• Perform in-process testing and work closely with Quality Control to meet product specifications


• Clean and sanitize equipment between production runs to avoid cross-contamination


• Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards


• Assist in troubleshooting equipment or process issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications:


• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in chemical processing or manufacturing is a plus


• 2+ years of experience in a chemical, flavor, or food manufacturing environment preferred


• Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and technical instructions


• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills (for data entry and documentation)


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically active environment


• Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and PPE usage


• Forklift certification is a plus

Specify schedule-e.g., Monday-Friday, 1st or 2nd shift with occasional overtime
