Salary: 130-175 Department: Engineering Reports To: Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager Job Overview: The Chemical Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing chemical manufacturing processes. They will apply principles of chemistry, physics, and engineering to ensure efficient and safe chemical production. Key Responsibilities: Develop and design chemical manufacturing processes. Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes. Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Develop safety procedures for those working with potentially dangerous chemicals. Test and monitor the performance of processes throughout production. Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes. Prepare reports, flow diagrams, and charts. Manage and optimize production processes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in chemical engineering or manufacturing. Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Work Environment: The role typically operates in an office environment but may also require time in industrial plants, refineries, and other locations where chemical processes are conducted. Physical Requirements: May include occasional lifting of materials and equipment, and on-site visits requiring walking and standing.
