Overview: The
Neuro Step Down Unitis hiring a nurse Charge (
RN) to join their dedicated team of high-performing nurses that provide exceptional patient care within their 29-bed unit. This unit is highly specialized
neurology Step-Down,dedicated to the special care required for patients who are recovering from
neurosurgery, or neurological injuries- to include psych patients. Joint Commission-Accredited Primary Step-Down.
The Charge RN will, under the direction of the
NursingDirector, work with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care

Type of Opportunity: Part Time (0.6 FTE/24 hours per week)

State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation:
BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.

CDS Inpatient
Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP
Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
Oncology Chemotherapy certification
