Channel Business Manager, FDM
PRIMARY DUTIES:- Manage Zippo house accounts and work with existing outside sales agencies by pitching product assortments, being primary point-of-contact for buyers, negotiating program terms, working with purchasing to ensure product availability.
- Identify key retail accounts across numerous areas for potential new distribution within the Food, Drug, Mass, and Convenience channels.
- Identify business structure around new business opportunities (contact names, buying cycles, merchandising requirements, marketing tools, etc.)
- Follow-up meetings with new customers as needed to review performance of current program and strategize on expansion / growth.
- Properly forecast account sales to maximize order fill rates and on-time delivery.
- Learn and master all retailer provided reporting tools and Supplier websites.
- Attend corporate sales meetings as needed.
- Manage leads and opportunities within the Salesforce software.
- Manage allocated budgets and maximize channel marketing expenditures for customers.
- Facilitate resolution of operational issues to ensure compliance and minimize chargebacks.
- Attend appropriate trade shows and research new opportunities to display Zippo products as needed.
- Serve on strategic planning teams as necessary.
- Work closely with the marketing department to create effective Point of Sale displays, packaging, and other marketing programs within the channels.
- Overnight travel required (30%-40%).
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:-
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field AND/OR
- 5+ years of sales and sales management experience AND/OR
- Business Math ability (understanding margins, mark-up, etc.)
- Understanding of Account buying cycles, margin expectations, and sell-thru expectations
- A combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of AX operating system a plus
- Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to travel and work outside of regularly scheduled work hours
- Preferred remote location near major airport hub
