The Methodist Church is seeking a new Chair for the Nominations Committee to start 1 September 2025.

The Nominations Committee is charged with responsibility to ensure that the nominations made to the Conference or the Connexional Council are brought as a result of processes which conform to the requirements for the body concerned, and are in accordance with recruitment best practice and the Methodist Church's principles for Justice, Dignity and Solidarity.

The Chair of the Nominations Committee will be responsible for planning, preparing, and chairing the meetings of the Committee. They will lead and work collaboratively with other members of the Nominations Committee to oversee a clear and consistent approach to the recruitment and selection of new members of the Connexional Council and the key committees. The Chair will be committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity and ensuring a broad range of skills, knowledge, and experience are appointed to the Council and other committees.
