The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health and Staten Island University Hospital invite applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Radiology of Staten Island University Hospital. The health system is seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and visionary board-certified radiologist and leader capable of shaping an innovative and evolving radiology department, serving the greater Staten Island service area.

The Chair of Radiology will provide senior oversight of imaging services at Staten Island University Hospital. This leader will work collaboratively with hospital and health system leaders to meet and exceed Northwell Health Imaging Services organizational, clinical, quality, operational, and financial goals. Major responsibilities include operational and process improvement initiatives, clinician recruitment, education, and strategic development. As a leader, the Chair of Radiology will provide leadership for and work collaboratively with a team of faculty physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, technicians and administrative staff. The Chair s guidance will oversee activities of multiple subspecialty divisions to ensure quality care for the patients we seek to serve. As an innovator, the Chair will identify and optimize areas for clinical operations improvement and program growth and enhancement. Implementation of a strategic vision for the department will be focused on quality, efficiency, and growth while maintaining the academic mission of the department in trainee education and research.

The Chair of Radiology will leverage significant resources from the Northwell Health Imaging Services, and institutional dedication, including over 250 attending radiologists, 165 Zucker School of Medicine faculty, 100 residents, and 6 fellows. The number of studies/interventions performed annually is over 2.8 million, with greater than 1000 employees providing technical and administrative support, helping the service line to become recognized as one of the best radiology programs in the country. The Department of Radiology

The Staten Island University Hospital Department of Radiology includes 32 board certified radiologists serving as a multidisciplinary team that provides radiological care for the treatment and diagnosis of all specialty care areas. The department performs more than 360,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures annually with a multitalented, dedicated and growing team. Each year, the department trains 17 residents who have gone on to serve in prestigious roles throughout the larger radiology community. The Department provides services across two campuses SIUH North and SIUH Prince s Bay.

The ideal candidate for this role will be board certified by the ABR or comparable credentials and administrative/leadership experience at an academic medical center, such as Chair, Vice Chair, and/or Section/Division Chief. We are seeking a nationally recognized clinical leader with experience in clinical, operational and academic achievements, with commensurate appointment to the faculty of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
