Cottage Grove High School is seeking an assistant coach for the 2025-26 school year. This position would help CGHS students achieve success both athletically and academically.

Consult with all levels of Cottage Grove Volleyball (Varsity, JV, and JV2).

• Willing to potentiall fill the role of either JV head coach, JV2 head coach, or Varsity assistant coach.
• Effectively analyze and teach the fundamental skills and strategies of volleyball.
• Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate practice sessions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate game plans and strategies.
• Serve as a leader, monitor, and role model for the student athletes.
• Collaborate with the entire coaching staff to ensure program success.
• Attend all practices and games.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a general knowledge of volleyball skills, strategies, and rules. They must be willing to aid in the program, wherever needed, and fulfill any of the roles (listed above).

Compensation

Compensation will be distributed through a stipend and determined based on available funding and athletics stipend schedule.
