As a key member of our surgical team, the primary function of this position is to serve as the Certified Surgical Technician for procedures involving newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and a strong understanding of sterile techniques and patient care. The position is performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and involves supporting the surgical team in a variety of capacities.

In addition to core duties, this role may require cross-training in other surgical department areas, providing flexibility and support as needed (e.g., OR housekeeping, Central Sterile Processing, and patient transport when requested by charge personnel).

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduate of a Technical College, or equivalent, with accredited Surgical Technologist curricula

Licenses/Certifications: Surgical Technologist Certification required after 2008
Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required
