Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant

Job Location: Marshall, MI 49068

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:
Act as a primary surgical assistant during procedures, directly assisting the surgeon.
Assist in positioning the patient for surgery.
Apply clamps, sutures, and other devices as directed by the surgeon.
Assist in closing incisions, applying bandages, and monitoring the patient post-surgery.
Work effectively as part of a surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical professionals.
Keep accurate records of the surgery, including procedures performed, tools used, and any complications.
Handle instruments, sutures, and other surgical supplies under the direction of the surgeon.
Help with draping the surgical site and applying sterile coverings to prevent contamination.
Assist with tissue handling and cutting when necessary, ensuring proper technique to minimize damage or unnecessary bleeding.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment after surgery.

Job Requirements:
BLS from AHA
NBSTSA
1+ years of experience as a Surgical First Assist

Morning Shift
06:45 am to 05:15 pm
Tuesday - Friday
4x10
40 hours Per Week
