Overview:
Responsible for administering anesthesia using various techniques to ensure patients are pain-free during surgical, dental, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures. Evaluate intervention effectiveness and explore alternative strategies. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across all ages, assessing patient data to provide age-specific care per departmental standards. Collaborate with anesthesiologists to enhance quality, safety, and cost control, while mentoring Student Nurse Anesthetists.
Qualifications:
Completed AANA approved course in Anesthesia. MSN/DNP degree or equivalent required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or eligible new graduate. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
