Job Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics during surgical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings.
- Develop and manage anesthetic plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
- Provide airway management and intubations as needed.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to team-based practice improvements.
- Promote a healthy work environment and support positive interactions among team members.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Educate staff, colleagues, patients, and families about anesthesia care.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice and documentation.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system for proper documentation.
- Travel to other ambulatory sites as necessary.
- Support unit operations in a cost-effective manner while ensuring optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
- Minimum of 2 years CRNA work experience (excluding RN or training).
- Active Michigan nursing and specialty licenses.
- Up-to-date with COVID and annual flu vaccinations.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Willingness to travel to other sites as required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan nursing and specialty licenses (must have in-hand).
- Board Certified by AANA.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Compliance with health screening and vaccination requirements.
