Job Title: Locum - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
About the Facility: Our facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center located in Portland, Maine, known for its commitment to patient-centered care. We pride ourselves on fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect among our staff. We are currently seeking multiple Locum CRNAs to support the expansion of our clinical services. Join us in providing excellent care to a diverse patient demographic, including comprehensive pediatric services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases, including spinal anesthesia and neurosurgical cases.
- Manage ventilation and local infiltration procedures.
- Collaborate with a team of physician anesthesiologists in a medical direction billing model.
- Participate in up to 36-40 hours per week, with 10- or 12-hour shifts available.
- Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system.
- Work effectively within a busy hospital environment, averaging 100 surgical cases per day.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Anesthesia - REQUIRED
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center - REQUIRED (minimum of 1 year)
- Ability to work within the hourly rate cap of $250 - REQUIRED
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven dedication to patient care and safety.
License and Certification Requirements:
- ME State License - highly preferred (we will consider candidates needing to obtain license)
- BLS and ACLS certification - REQUIRED (PALS certification is optional)
